GeneCut — a service for gene assembly design and molecular cloning
About the Product:
GeneCut is a web service for conducting in silico experiments on gene assembly and molecular cloning. The program helps prepare a gene sequence for synthesis: perform reverse translation, optimize codon composition, remove unwanted sites and motifs, split the sequence into oligonucleotides or long blocks, and simulate cloning of genetic constructs. You can find additional information in the documentation.
Suitable for:
- Gene assembly — Splitting a nucleotide sequence into oligonucleotides for subsequent assembly using PCA and TBIO methods.
- Sequence optimization — Reverse translation of an amino acid sequence and optimization of codon composition for the selected organism.
- Preparation of sequences for synthesis — Removal of restriction sites, splicing sites, and user-defined motifs from the nucleotide sequence.
- In silico molecular cloning — Modeling the cloning of one or more fragments into a plasmid using Gibson assembly and Gateway methods.
- Working with calculation results — Viewing reports, launch parameters, calculation results, and downloading the resulting sequences.
Available Versions and Services:
- GeneCut Web Service — For independent gene assembly design and cloning via browser.
- Integration with UGENE — Working with GeneCut calculations from UGENE: launch, viewing reports, obtaining input and resulting sequences.
- Development of specialized solutions — Creating individual modules or services based on GeneCut for synthetic biology and molecular cloning tasks.
- Support and maintenance — Consultations, adaptation, implementation, user training.
The cost of solutions and services presented on this website is determined individually upon client request.
Scientific and Technical Basis
GeneCut uses algorithms for codon composition optimization, oligonucleotide selection, melting temperature calculation, sequence splitting into blocks, and cloning modeling. Calculation results can be used as a preparatory stage before laboratory experiments.
